Bali Luxury Villa Guide: Ubud, Uluwatu & Seminyak's Best Stays
The three Balis you actually need to know — jungle Ubud, cliff-edge Uluwatu, beach-club Seminyak — and the best luxury villa in each.

The three Balis
Bali is three trips in one. Split your nights.
1. Ubud — jungle + culture
- Four Seasons Sayan — the lotus-pond entrance, the villa terraces over the Ayung River
- Capella Ubud — 22 luxury tents, no two alike, designed by Bill Bensley
- Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve — private-pool villas, riverfront
2. Uluwatu — cliff + surf
- Bulgari Resort Bali — the cliff villas, the private infinity pool at every unit
- Six Senses Uluwatu — newer, quieter, better food
- The Edge — the pool that hangs off the cliff (private-villa rental, not a hotel)
3. Seminyak / Canggu — beach + scene
- The Legian Seminyak — beachfront, understated
- Como Uma Canggu — surf, spa, and a rooftop pool
- Potato Head Beach Club — day beds worth a full afternoon
Suggested 7-night split
- 3 nights Ubud (jungle, spa, rice terraces)
- 2 nights Uluwatu (cliff, surf, Single Fin sunset)
- 2 nights Seminyak / Canggu (beach club, food scene)
The best content spots
- Tegallalang rice terraces — sunrise, before the swing crowds
- Uluwatu Temple — kecak fire dance at sunset
- Nusa Penida — day trip for Kelingking Beach (that overhead shot)
When to go
April–October is dry season. Peak: July, August, and the December holidays. Sweet spot: May and September — dry, uncrowded, cheaper.
