Plan around the light, not the temperature
In June and July, sunset in Seattle lands close to 9pm and dusk lingers past 10. That means a rooftop dinner at 7pm is a daylight dinner. If you want the sunset table, book late — later than feels normal anywhere else in the country.
From October through May, treat the terrace as a bonus rather than the plan. Ask which parts of the deck are covered and heated, and have an indoor table in the same venue as the backup.
